Mark J. Mele, DMD
In private practice for over 30 years, Dr. Mele completed both an undergraduate degree in chemistry and a doctorate of dental medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He finished his orthodontic residency at Temple University and for almost 20 years he was a faculty instructor at Temple School of Dentistry, Department of Orthodontics.
Dr. Mele is the long-time treasurer of the Greater Philadelphia Society of Orthodontists. He lives in Abington with his wife Colleen and their three daughters. Dr. Mele grew up in the Philadelphia area on a gentleman’s farm caring for goats, sheep, assorted fruit trees and vegetable gardens.
In his spare time, he loves spending time with his family, reading, piano playing, and landscaping. He has a passion for historical Philadelphia residential architecture.
Rosemarie — Clinical Manager
Rosemarie (Ro) is the office clinical manager and is a proud native Philadelphian. A loving mother of four adult children, Ro enjoys her time with her 8 (and counting!) grandchildren, the beach, fishing, kayaking, most sports, and lots of candy!
She is very blessed to be a stage 3B breast cancer survivor! Ro has assisted chairside with Dr. Mele for almost 30 years. Always willing to bring life experience and comic relief, she is a dear friend and devoted employee!
Terry — Office Manager (Retired)
Terry joined Team Mele as an insurance coordinator back in 2002 after working for 17 years developing desktop applications for the insurance industry. She is currently the office’s manager. A proud Penn State graduate, Terry lives in Hatboro with her husband Paul, son Philip, and rescue pup Kelsi Sue.
Outside of the office, Terry is a member of a local conference of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, an international charity that provides assistance to financially challenged and working poor in our local community. A soprano in the choir at St. David’s church, Terry also loves musical theater.
She likes to travel and has backpacked into the Teton Mountains in Wyoming and Glacier National Park in Montana. Terry is an avid reader and enjoys cooking, baking and Penn State football.
Linda — Assistant
Linda has been an integral part of Dr. Mele’s team for over two decades. As an orthodontic assistant and sterilization expert, she enjoys transforming smiles. Linda loves Zumba classes and long walks. Her bucket list includes participating in a 5K and the Broad Street Run.
Linda is very sympathetic to family challenges related to substance abuse. Linda and her husband Curt enjoy quality time at home with their two grandsons and new granddaughter and lazy days at the beach.
Sandi — Office Manager Emeritus
Sandi has been employed for 25 years in the dental field. For the last 15 years, she has graced our practice with both her wisdom and wit. Sandi lives in Jenkintown.
She is Dr. Mele’s loving mother-in-law and grandmother to his three beautiful daughters. Outside of the office, Sandi enjoys spending time with family especially grandson Van Patrick.
Sandi is a strong advocate for healthy aging and is often seen power walking around town. In her free time Sandi enjoys Sudoku and Words with friends (Scrabble). She also likes pizza Fridays, traveling to the New Jersey shore and kayaking with her daughter.
